As an Los Angeles-based producer working across vertical content, commercial, and short film, I partner with brands, directors, and agencies to bring creative visions to life, from first draft to final delivery.

My work spans narrative strategy, team leadership, budgeting, and on-set operations, building systems that are scalable without losing their creative soul. Across seven years, I've produced work spanning independent cinema, commercial campaigns, and digital entertainment in both the US and China. The stories I'm drawn to explore identity, ambition, cultural displacement, and the emotional weight of modern relationships. Recent credits include Azul (2025 LALIFF Manifest Short Program), Red Pocket (2025 New York Asian Film Festival Short Program), and a commercial spot for the re-launch of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Nintendo Switch 2. My short film The Last Piece of Fallen Leaf — which I wrote, directed, and produced — won Best Short of the Season at the IndieX Film Festival and was a semi-finalist at Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival.

I'm Yoko Chen, a Los Angeles-based producer originally from China and a graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory, where I earned my MFA as a Producing Fellow. I currently serve as Lead Producer and Head of In-House Production at Good Short, a leading platform in the vertical mini-series space. I oversee both creative direction and full-scale execution across multiple series — from development and greenlight through production and final delivery.
